Terms & Conditions – Referral Programme

Against Ordinary Referral Programme | Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Against Ordinary Referral Programme. By participating in the programme and submitting a referral, you agree to be bound by these rules.

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Referral Programme is open to all individuals and businesses (the “Referrer”), excluding current employees of Against Ordinary and their immediate families, unless otherwise authorised by management. 1.2 You must have a legitimate relationship with the person or company you are referring.

2. Qualified Referrals

To be eligible for a reward, a referral must meet the following criteria (“Qualified Referral”):

  • New Business: The prospective client must not be currently known to Against Ordinary, must not be in our current sales pipeline, and must not have been a client of Against Ordinary within the last 12 months.
  • Introduction: The referral must be made via a direct email introduction to [Jo****@*************ry.com or via the formal submission of using our Cred Deck.
  • Contract Value: The referred client must sign a contract with a minimum total value of £5,000.

3. Rewards

3.1 Upon the confirmation of a Qualified Referral, the Referrer will receive:

  • A £250 Gift Card of their choice (from available options).
  • A Thank You Hamper sent to the Referrer’s team or office. 3.2 Timing of Reward: Rewards are issued 14 days after the referred client has paid their first invoice in full. 3.3 No cash alternative is available for the hamper.

4. Exclusions and Limitations

4.1 Self-Referrals: You cannot refer yourself, your own company, or a subsidiary of a company you own. 4.2 Cap: There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make, but Against Ordinary reserves the right to review high-volume referrals to ensure quality. 4.3 Duplicate Referrals: If two people refer the same candidate, the reward will be given to the Referrer who made the introduction first, as determined by the timestamp of the introductory email.

5. Ethical Guidelines

5.1 This programme is designed to reward genuine professional recommendations. It is not intended to induce any breach of contract or breach of duty between the Referrer and their employer. 5.2 If your employer’s policy prohibits the acceptance of gifts or referral fees, you must decline the reward or nominate a registered charity to receive a cash donation of equivalent value (£250) in your name. 5.3 The Referrer is responsible for declaring any benefits received under this programme for tax purposes, if applicable. Against Ordinary accepts no liability for tax obligations arising from the receipt of these rewards.

6. General Terms

6.1 Against Ordinary reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Referral Programme at any time without notice. 6.2 In the event of a dispute regarding a referral (e.g., whether a lead was already “known”), the decision of Against Ordinary management shall be final. 6.3 No legal partnership or agency relationship is created between the Referrer and Against Ordinary through this programme.
